PRIME TIME Class of 2008/2009
We are planning our 11th year of Prime Time, a 501c(3) after school program for children at risk of failure. No fees are charged and no child is denied because of religious or ethnic background. Our families' average monthly income is less than $1,000. We are a faith based program of Passage Family Church. We do not receive funds that would restrict teaching or place application requirements on students concerning religious or ethnic background. We depend completely on donations from folks with open hearts and open minds.
PRIME TIME is supported by the University of Florida, Santa Fe Community College, East Side High School, Lake Forest, Duval and P.K. Young Elementary schools, Caring and Sharing , United Way, Jr. League, United Methodist Church, other area churches, other community organizations and individuals.
We stress we are not a daycare program. Over 150 volunteers, most from the University of Florida, mentor and tutor the children in their homework and FCAT preparation. During the past year all 24 students improved in their behavior and academics. All 24 students passed the FCAT requirements and were advanced to the next grade. Many of these students would have continued to fail, if it had not been for your support in both prayers and gifts.
Our current student capacity is 36.
All donations received are used only for the operational cost of the school. A detailed bank register is available, upon request, to all donors. We welcome you to come and visit the school on any school day without notice. We thank you for your generous support in the past and pray that you will continue to support these children in the coming school year.
